What is an intentional legacy?

Impact on the people and world around us is a result of innumerable thoughts, words, decisions, and actions. A remarkable legacy rarely occurs by chance. Businesses and organizations are known for their purpose. Tools are known for their purpose. Technology follows suit. But what about people? Are we known for the purpose of creating an intentional impact aligned with how we are designed? If not, why not?
